Seminar at Kagoshima
At the Kagoshima Prefecture Private School Education Training Seminar held on Thursday, 20th November, 2025, Miwako Yoshida, a teacher at Kagoshima Ikueikan Junior and Senior High School, introduced the online collaborative class with Taiwan supported by WILL, under the theme of “Practical Research on English Education through AI and International Exchange for Glocal Human Resource Development.” Before the collaboration classes, first- and second-year high school students practiced conversing with AI using scripts they created themselves. After interacting with teachers and people observing the class, they engaged in an online collaborative class with Mingdao High School in Taichung, Taiwan, to discuss “high school culture.” Shigenori Wakabayashi (Professor at Chuo University and Representative Director of the Workshop Initiative for Language Learning) provided guidance and advice on the cognitive system underlying the international online collaborative class, its significance, and implementation methods. The research class, which utilized the advantages of AI-based classes and international online collaborative classes, was a highly engaging and cutting-edge initiative.
